Kathryn Riley
Kate has been practising exclusively in family law for over 10 years. She took a brief step away from private practice in 2020 when she took a role with the Attorney General’s Department and advised on matters arising before the then Family Court of Australia which required the intervention of the Attorney General.
She regularly appears in court, including successfully instructing Senior Counsel to oppose an application for Special Leave before the High Court of Australia.
She was recognised by her peers as a Rising Star of Family Law in Canberra in Doyles Guide in 2019 and was listed as one of 70 lawyers, across Australasia as a Rising Star lawyer by Australasian Lawyer in 2021.
