We are pleased to announce the promotion of Amanda McDermott from Lawyer to Associate at SLF Lawyers.   In what has been a challenging 18 months for most professionals in the industry, Amanda has excelled in all aspects of role as a Lawyer, developing key problem solving, decision making and critical legal and reasoning skills required of an Associate position.

Amanda has continued to demonstrate excellent communication skills with both her clients and colleagues acting in a range of complex commercial litigation matters with a particular focus on shareholder actions and corporate disputes.  She understands that successful litigation requires skilful judgment and an appreciation of her clients’ business objectives.  Amanda has worked closely with clients providing front end commercial structuring advice and it is no surprise that she has demonstrated her talent for business development and marketing across a range of industries.

Amanda spends a great deal of her time mentoring junior lawyers and staff members showing both leadership and empathy which his highly valued in her team.

We look forward to watching Amanda grow as a practitioner and leader and SLF Lawyers and wish her the very best of luck as a finalist in the category of Rising Star of the Year (Private Practice) for the 2021 Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards being held on 2 December 2021 in Sydney.
