Our senior partners, John Gdanski e Mark Smith travelled to Longreach last weekend as part of the festivities of the annual running of the Longreach Cup.

There is a lack of services and infrastructure in the Outback for adults who need assisted living to remain with friends and family in these towns. SLF has taken up the challenge to assist both financially and legally.

SLF sponsored the meet and greet the night prior to the running of the cup, where guests heard from Paula Ballard a mother directly impacted by this lack of service (see https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-07-19/disability-housing-outback-qld-lack-families-move-away/101247888).

Last weekend is only the start of SLF’s involvement in this project.
