John has served on the board for organisations including St Kilda Football Club Ltd, Basketball Victoria, Ciaron Maher Racing as well as not-for-profit organisations and charities. He has also served as a committee member for Management Committees in the Property and Construction Industries.

With these strong links to the AFL, Basketball, Swimming, Horse Racing, Netball and hospitality industries, John is well connected across most States in Australia. He is best known for his colloquial tone, approachability and modest attire making John a well-respected ‘crowd favourite’ both amongst his clients, peers and colleagues.

John has demonstrable success in providing Legal and Strategic representation for clients in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. He advises them with respect to their high-rise developments, tax structuring and trusts, corporate reconstructions, joint ventures and banking and finance matters, to name a few, across the property, finance, hospitality, sport and charity spaces.
